Happy friggin' cold New Year!

okay...it's been a while since I've posted. Went through a bought of pneumonia and a broken horn in the sheep, but we were okay until this LOVELY weather descended upon us. Thank god sheep have wool! :)

Anyway, walked outside my house today at 10 am to a balmy -26F! Oh, and with the windchill making it feel like -40...WONDERFUL! lol. We're suppose to have this lovely weather for a few days, then it will return to normal...I will be out in shorts in 8 above! lol. Here's some photos I took outside the house today... :) (Click to biggify!)

This was my bench...
The nice snow pile in front of our grill..and our tiny little path that is well utilized by rabbits and other rodents :)
Verticle frost!
My last year projects that were never completed...and yes, that's a food dish under the chain link...was helping an unknown furry friend who was hungry :)
Pretty frosty spiderweb!
Me in Dennys camo jacket, pink and purple stripped PJ pants, and green fake crocs...
More frosty spiderwebs
And our frosty door!

Rayna, I bet those crocs were frozen solid! And out in your PJs? No wonder you had pneumonia! We were at -27F this morning but it has warmed up to -17F. I put on sweats, a turtleneck, a Shetland wool sweater, snow pants, two pairs of socks, my sorrel boots, a down jacket with a hood and my microfiber mittens when I went out to do my chores this morning. Thankfully the sheep have shelter with plenty of bedding, and they don't even seem to notice the cold. Stay warm up there! Sorry to hear about the broken horn too.

I didn't, sheep did. When we had that stupid 38 above, 4 below, 45 above, 15 below weather that went to various extremes every other day. Sorry, should have been more clear I guess lol.

Yeah, thanks, Thor is doing much better now, though, he's lonely in his pen, but when we put a smaller buck in with him, he starts bullying him. *sigh*

Sure wish you weren't sending that weather towards us. Oh, well, won't get to play with the sheep much this week.

Oh Rayna, I'm glad to hear it wasn't YOU with the pneumonia. LOL. I hope the sheep is feeling better though. Those darn Shetland boys can be such a pain with their macho ways. Bo is causing trouble here.

Wow, Rayna-you've got so much snow! We're supposed to have -30 in extreme southern Minn. tonight so I can't even imagine what your temps will be "up north". Let us know!
